Protease inhibitor developed for use in combination with other medicines, such as AZT, to fight the onset of AIDS in people who are HIV positive.
An antiviral agent prescribed to slow the spread of and prevent cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection in immunocompromised individuals, including transplant recipients and people with AIDS. CMV is a viral infection that can cause dangerous eye infections that progressively destroy the retina and leads to blindness.
Used for the treatment of bone-reducing osteoporosis.
