Syntex Corporation — Founded 1944 in Mexico City with focus on oral contraceptives; Purchased Arapahoe Chemicals in 1965; Boulder production focused on Naprosyn® and highly active compounds

Roche — Purchased Syntex Corporation in 1994

Roche Colorado is one of four Roche pharmaceutical research and/or production facilities in the United States (Hoffmann-La Roche — Nutley, New Jersey; Roche Bioscience — Palo Alto, California; Roche Carolina — Florence, South Carolina).

Roche has other pharmaceutical research and production facilities around the world, including Brazil, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Turkey, Spain, and Switzerland.
